Here’s a reason to connect with your children and your loved ones. If we don’t connect with our spirits and souls through deep and meaningful relationships we are setting a generation up for the most dramatic exchange in human history; that of substituting human relationships with machines.
Shallow platonic relationship based on facts and information (or even less) will breed the propensity to escape any deeper expectations and make the deadly exchange allowing machines to become our best friends. When what is deep inside dies we live for everything that can stimulate our senses. The machines do that the best. There is none that can even come close. The horrifying discovery we will make, only when it is too late, is that this is what LIVING DEAD means. It is a backwards life that will never satisfy our true human needs. Are we going to allow this? Or will we finally rise up and say: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! We need to dethrone tech tools as our masters and command all tools to become servants in their rightful place. And those that blindly follow the lead of technological development are often blind to the reality that they serve a dark spiritual reality with one goal: to steal, kill and destroy!
Our hurting world is so vulnerable. Oh, how much less complicated it is to hang out with a machine than with people. A cute little robot dog, or a servant with wheels and a display, or the fancy up and coming human looking AI devices that will learn the sounds we make and through algorithms create some response that we want to hear.
What is life? So many have no clue and are seeking here and there, falling prey to the seduction of the time, slowly drifting out of their human potential and more importantly; their God-given potential. It is the robbery of the ages, though the issues have always been the same: broken relationships.
YES, technology can be amazing when it holds the place of service in the true meaning. And that is what we are missing – the context. Our vision for life is often completely disconnected from God’s high thoughts of hope and future.
Will we continue drinking the wine of seduction and slide into one of the darkest moments of a generation or will we awaken and seize the moment which could be the most glorious ones?
Reality is that God continues to call and prepare His remnant. His plan remains and we MUST connect with it and call others to raise up and take their place in His purposes. The logic follows: He created us for the most precious intimacy and when we connect again with the Father through the Son, we are restored to this purpose.
Things are accelerating to a pace far beyond human capacity. If we intend to follow the race we will be outdone and overwhelmed, moving backwards into the future, with zero control over our lives.
The only option is to connect with God and then, amidst all this acceleration, to walk by His Spirit and do His will. We can thrive in this world when we walk with God and move forward in strength with our heads high, embracing shipwrecked people and calling them into their God-given destiny.
We must wake up though. A decision needs to be made – it’s one of lordship.
In order to rescue this generation we need to rediscover true relationships and have quality thereof. We like speed today. The Son of God told his followers to make disciples. That’s deep and meaningful work which will last into eternity. That is a purpose worth living for, but it will only be done by the most courageous ones. Where are the heroes of our day?
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Mt. 11:28-30
